First Flight

Picture 1: First Flight

Man has always tried to overcome. This form consisted of overcoming centuries to master all the elements, such as air. To achieve this we have been dedicated to studying nature, as did the Wright brothers.

Previous designers were focused on how to imitate the birds fly, but they went further. They noted that they planned to take advantage of air currents, allowing them to develop a structure with high stability and they could control. Although the flight of the Wright brothers only lasted a few time, it marked the beginning of a new era, the era where men begin to dream of flying like a bird.

Picture 2: Red-Headed Vulture
One of the birds you were inspired was the Red-headed Vulture. The Wright brothers focused on doing the twist of the wings, which allowed them to put it, colloquially, fly in style, by a mechanism developed.

His first air show was at Le Mans in France in 1908.

All subsequent designers not only based on the flight of birds, but also, fixed in mammals, plants and insects. For example, who has not ever noticed how slowly the leaves of a tree fall down. Why do focus on it? That is because, although specifically focused on the "flying cucumber" (colloquial name), the perfect planner seed. We can find it in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia. Your plan is so spectacular that inspired the first plane used to drop bombs. It was very successful.

Insects differ from the rest because they have no tendons or muscles in the wings instead venar have a strong network controlled by a muscle located at the base of the wings. The Dragonflies are one of the most characteristic examples highlight, as they have the most complex wings of nature. In this world of miniature flying insects, we find many revelations, among which we highlight the monarch butterfly, which travels thousands of miles.

The Power of Flight

Picture 3: Eagle
With the flight we can travel long distances, but it's not as easy as it seems. The weight plays a vital role. It is not the same for the man to nature. While engineers must concentrate on getting the power needed to get a plane in flight moose, nature takes thousands of years to evolve. He has endowed each with qualities that allow it to survive in its environment.

Finally, this is when we asks ourselves: Have you reached aviation up to nature? The answer we know it all, no. I doubt that whatever the short and medium term, as we can never compare to natural flying; because they are much more sophisticated than anything man has designed.
